Some tips to keep in mind before starting any spray paint project:
- You’ll want a smooth surface, so clean it thoroughly and you won’t see imperfections in the final product.
- Apply the paint in multiple, light layers to keep drips at bay.
- Allow your project to dry completely. Be patient to avoid fingerprints, scratches, or the need to do touchups later.
1. End Table Makeover
Supplies needed:
Project Instructions
Change the look of your living room end table by spray painting a new color. Put some pizzazz into your living room or bedroom with Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover in Satin Silver Lilac.
PREPARE:
Always work in a well-ventilated area and cover the floor with a drop cloth to protect it from overspray. Remove table hardware. If surface is uneven or very rough, light sanding may help smooth out the surface. The sandpaper grit is dependant on how smooth you want the surface to be, the higher the grit number, the smoother the surface.
PAINT:
Shake the spray paint thoroughly for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Then, hold the can 8-12” away from the end table and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion. Apply 2-3 light coats to the entire table a few minutes apart.
FINISH:
Let everything dry completely for 24 hours and then, reattach hardware.
For a stronger finish, consider applying a top coat of Clear Gloss Lacquer Spray Paint
